Performs blood and body fluid testing and cultures for diagnostic and research procedures, including complete blood counts (CBC’s), clinical chemistries, and bacterial cultures. The role involves working in Biosafety Level 2 and Level 3 facilities with a broad range of pathogens, including select agents. Responsibilities include correlating and interpreting data, investigating problems, performing equipment maintenance, preparing reagents, instructing new employees and students, data entry, and interpreting test results. The position requires willingness to work in both Biosafety Level 2 and Level 3 laboratories, wear personal protective equipment, and comply with the TNPRC drug and alcohol policy. Minimal weekend and holiday coverage is required.
