In this role, you will help employees navigate clinic services, prepare accurate records, coordinate appointments and medical surveillance activities, and provide calm, professional support in a manufacturing environment where safety, clear communication, and accountability matter every day. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a half-hour lunch. Team: Occupational Health within the Environmental, Health and Safety group. About the Role As a Medical Technician in our Occupational Health clinic, you will help keep daily clinic operations organized and employee-focused. You will support scheduling, phone calls, paperwork, chart preparation, faxing, copying, scanning, documentation, and clinic flow so the RN can focus on hands-on clinical work. You will report through Occupational Health/EHS leadership and receive training from the RN, while also interacting with safety professionals and the industrial hygienist to coordinate medical surveillance requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, along with strong organization, prioritization, and follow-through to manage a high volume of administrative work independently.
  • Experience in a medical, occupational health, clinic, nursing home, doctor's office, CNA, nurse assistant, or similar patient-facing setting where you supported patients, employees, or the public.
  • Comfort performing or learning basic clinical tasks, including vital signs, first aid support, screenings, specimen collection, and injury-report paperwork.
  • Sound judgment to identify when a situation needs escalation and the confidence to ask questions or involve the RN, physician, or support team when appropriate.
  • Professional communication and customer service skills, including the ability to stay calm and respectful when working with frustrated or difficult individuals.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR/First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogen training preferred or ability to obtain; ability to obtain CAOHC hearing conservation and NIOSH spirometry certifications as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily clinic flow, including scheduling, employee check-ins, occupational health exams, medical surveillance appointments, and follow-up documentation.
  • Serve as a professional first point of contact for employees, visitors, HR, supervisors, healthcare providers, and EHS partners by phone and in person.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate medical records, charts, forms, injury report documentation, and compliance-related paperwork with attention to confidentiality and detail.
  • Support basic clinical services after training, such as vital signs, screenings, specimen collection, first aid support, and other clinic activities within established protocols.
  • Recognize when an employee situation or injury needs escalation to the RN, physician, or appropriate support resource, especially when the RN is not on site.
  • Maintain a clean, organized clinic environment, including supplies, inventory, equipment readiness, and other duties needed to support safe, efficient clinic operations.
