About The Position

IMMEDIATELY HIRING! New York Road Runners – Medical Team Leader PART-TIME Opportunity Starting at $20/hr - $25/hr Location: 244 West 54 th Street, New York, NY 10019 We’re hiring Medical Team Leader that is responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations including facilitation of communication between field staff and leadership, interfacing with outside agencies and other CrowdRx entities, making time critical decisions, reporting of daily issues and achievements to leadership, acting as a role model to field employees, medical volunteers and providing coaching opportunities when standards are not upheld, appropriately escalating any needs to the appropriate supervisor, as well as other operational support functions as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Current and valid New York State EMT certification or higher, company-approved CPR certification, and Driver’s License are required.
  • ICS 100, 200, 700 and 800 certifications at time of application, ICS 300 and 400 within two months of hire through a company sponsored training program, if required by assignment.
  • State Driver’s License
  • ALS or BLS, NREMT
  • Must be able to function as a field provider at either the ALS or BLS level and maintain all associated certifications.
  • Driving record compliant with company policy

Nice To Haves

  • 2 to 3 years of EMS supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Related experience in healthcare

Responsibilities

  • Serve in a Task Force Leader (TFL) function managing resources such as ambulances, clinical providers, responders, and operations staff within a designated medical tent.
  • Conduct field training, supervision, education, evaluation and remediation of new and continuing employees.
  • Document patient information, condition and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
  • Take pride in providing a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
  • Use appropriate EMT skills to provide care including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment, and tools.
  • Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow EMTs.
