About The Position

On 6G, our staff are recognized as experts in the broadest of specialties – general medicine. Working on 6G, you will hone your skills working with peritoneal dialysis, accessing ports, and administering chemotherapy. The unit has 24 beds and serves patient populations with diagnoses such as cystic fibrosis, arrhythmias, immunocompromised patients, kidney failure, infections, paralysis, diabetes, heart failure, hypertension, and stroke. The targeted nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4. On 6G, we pride ourselves in fostering a compassionate and highly collaborative environment that empowers nurses. The RN Clinician Charge plans, coordinates, and directs the daily operations of a specific shift on a clinical unit.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited prelicensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • 2 years of recent nursing experience AND a minimum of 2 years of experience in the area of concentration.
  • A valid, unencuregistered nursing license approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing.
  • BLS certification
  • Must meet all Clinical Nurse Employee Commitments.
  • Achieves electives/points and contact hours as defined in the PLAN (clinical lattice) point system to maintain position.
  • Must complete UCN/SNM criteria requirements within nine (9) months of promotion or hire, including completion of Enhancing your Communication HLC#6488, completion of formal preceptor training workshop and enrollment in LEAP course.
