Job Summary and Responsibilities We're proud to share that St. Michael Medical Center was recognized among the Best Hospitals in Washington state by U.S. News World Report. St. Michael Medical Center is one of only four hospitals in our state to achieve Pathway to Excellence designation, which recognizes health care organizations for their commitment to ensuring excellence in the nursing profession. Located on the eighth floor of St. Michael Medical Center, this 32-bed (private room) telemetry-capable unit specializes in post-surgical care (bariatric, general, GYN, urology) and overflow medical patients, serving adolescents to geriatric populations. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery. Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans. You'll collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team, contributing to a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse issued by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
  • Quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN degree
  • One year of related work experience in an acute care setting.
  • Specialty certification, as appropriate to the assigned work unit, is strongly preferred.
