Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or active multistate nursing license permitting practice in Iowa.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) verification.
  • Iowa Mandatory Reporter – Child Abuse certification upon hire.
  • Iowa Mandatory Reporter – Dependent Adult Abuse certification upon hire.
  • Strong nursing assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple patients and changing priorities in a hospital environment.
  • Strong communication and interdisciplinary teamwork skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
  • Hospital-based clinical experience caring for patients with a variety of medical and post-operative conditions.
  • Experience with medication administration, patient education, discharge planning, and care coordination.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
  • Commitment to evidence-based nursing practice and continued clinical development.
