Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or active multistate nursing license permitting practice in Iowa.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) verification.
- Iowa Mandatory Reporter – Child Abuse certification upon hire.
- Iowa Mandatory Reporter – Dependent Adult Abuse certification upon hire.
- Strong nursing assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making abilities.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple patients and changing priorities in a hospital environment.
- Strong communication and interdisciplinary teamwork skills.
Nice To Haves
- Previous Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
- Hospital-based clinical experience caring for patients with a variety of medical and post-operative conditions.
- Experience with medication administration, patient education, discharge planning, and care coordination.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Commitment to evidence-based nursing practice and continued clinical development.
