About The Position

We are seeking a Night Shift Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care in a Telemetry and Med-Surg setting. The role includes care in a Med-Surg/Observation unit and may involve care in a Step Down unit. Nurses participate in a call rotation with full-time staff during periods of low census, and holiday coverage is required. Contracts may be subject to cancellation up to three times during the contract period.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.

Nice To Haves

• Step Down unit experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients in a Med-Surg/Observation unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6.
• Provide care in a Step Down unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4.
• Use electronic medical records (EMR), specifically Meditech.
• Administer medications using Alaris pumps and manage medication distribution through Omnicell.
• Participate in a call rotation during periods of low census.
• Provide holiday coverage.
