The Medical Surgical Nurse will provide care to patients admitted to the unit, with opportunities to build on education and experience in specialized service lines such as cardiac, telemetry, orthopedics, neurology, critical care, surgical services, and emergency. Requirements

  • Valid compact state or Arizona RN license (RN)
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification (BLS)
  • American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • One year recent acute care experience.
  • BSN
  • Professional certification in area of specialty.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care to patients admitted to the unit.
  • Build on education and experience in specialized service lines such as cardiac, telemetry, orthopedics, neurology, critical care, surgical services, and emergency.
  • Provide individualized, comprehensive care.
  • Make critical assessments.
  • Perform skilled procedures.
  • Implement patient care plans.
  • Collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team.
  • Contribute to a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes.
  • Administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, and chart with timely documentation.
  • Collaborate with a variety of other healthcare professionals such as social work, care coordination, physical therapy, occupational therapy, lab, respiratory therapy, and imaging.
