About The Position

Parkland Health Center, part of BJC HealthCare, offers a unique combination of world-class medicine and deep local roots. With two locations in St. Francois County, Missouri, Parkland Health Center provides quality primary and secondary level inpatient and outpatient services. The Farmington campus offers a full continuum of inpatient and medical-surgical and intensive care, obstetrics and emergency services, along with a wide variety of outpatient services. The Post Operative Department provides pre-op and post-op inpatient care to patients undergoing specialty surgical procedures, focusing on pre-op needs, post-op care and treatment after phase I recovery through discharge.

Requirements

• LPN - IV Cert
• No Experience
• No Experience (Supervisor Experience)

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care activities including IV management, utilizing the nursing process, under the supervision of the RN.
• Implements treatments and procedures within the scope of practice for the Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, provides patient teaching and discharge planning.
• Participates in professional development and life long learning.
• Performs patient assessment and evaluation with regard to the patient‘s age and developmental needs.
• Assists in developing and updating the plan of care with regard to the patient‘s age and developmental needs.
• Implements plan of care with regard to the patient‘s age and developmental needs.
