About The Position

Assists Medical Technologists in performing a wide range of complex clinical laboratory analyses in all major sections of the laboratory. This role involves recognizing problems, identifying causes, synthesizing alternatives, and applying solutions. The technologist will confirm and verify results through an in-depth knowledge of techniques, principles, and instrumentation, and correlate and interpret data based on knowledge of technical, instrumental, and physiological conditions affecting test results. They will also maintain and monitor a quality assurance program. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Currently Enrolled Medical Technology Required, or Currently Enrolled Related Field from Regionally Accredited College or University Required.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical laboratory analyses under the supervision of a Medical Technologist. 20 %
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments under the supervision of a Medical Technologist. 20 %
• Provide for reporting of laboratory results to ensure continuity of care in a timely manner. 20 %
• Implement, maintain and access a quality assurance program. 10 %
• Implement and maintain a specimen collection system. 10 %
• Review and follow policies and procedures for compliance with regulatory agency requirements for accreditation, as noted by the supervisor. 10 %
• Demonstrates commitment to personal career growth and competency, including completion of all departmental requirements. 10 %
