About The Position

This position involves assisting with various tasks at the Skelton Medical Library. The role includes managing circulation, handling patron inquiries, monitoring library communications, and supporting special projects. The Medical Student Library Assistant will work closely with librarians and staff to provide excellent reference services.

Requirements

• MUSM or undergraduate student
• MUST be work study
• Excellent customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Assists with circulation tasks, including checking materials in and out.
• Shelving reading of the books and models.
• Maintaining well-organized collections.
• Monitors Skelton Medical Library Front Desk Email.
• Assists patrons with basic technology and reference needs, such as finding electronic resources and troubleshooting simple printer issues.
• Monitors the OCLC account and performs Interlibrary Loan Lending services.
• Collaborates with librarians and other staff to deliver excellent library reference service on occasion.
• Assists with special projects as needed.
