About The Position

Pagosa Springs Medical Center (PSMC) is seeking a highly organized and detail-driven Administrative Support – Medical Staff Office (MSO) professional to support provider credentialing, privileging, peer review, and medical staff operations. This role plays a vital part in maintaining compliance and ensuring seamless coordination with providers, leadership, and internal departments. This position may be performed fully remote or on-site, depending on organizational needs and candidate suitability. Base Compensation Range: $18.00 - $27.83 hourly, based on years of relevant experience. "Relevant experience" means relevant to the employee's responsibilities set forth in the job description as determined by the HR Manager, CAO, applicable department manager/director and applicable senior leader. Shift Type: Day shift, Monday - Friday Anticipated End Date for Posting: February 16, 2026. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Current AHA BLS (Heartsaver) certification (required)
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of discretion and attention to detail
  • Fluency in English required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in medical staff credentialing and privileging strongly preferred, but not required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, data entry, and spreadsheets
  • Additional languages are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist with provider credentialing, re-credentialing, and privileging
  • Support peer review assignment and follow-up
  • Manage payer enrollment for individual providers, including tracking and coordination with Revenue Cycle
  • Maintain provider records, licenses, DEA registrations, malpractice coverage, and CAQH profiles
  • Accurately capture and maintain medical staff and committee meeting minutes
  • Assist with provider onboarding, offboarding, and recruiting
  • Support MSO surveys, audits, and external verification requests
  • Communicate professionally with providers, staff, payers, and external partners
  • Perform other administrative and departmental duties as assigned
