About The Position

FULL-TIME OPENING Days, Monday–Friday RESPONSIBILITIES: Medical Staff Coordination Coordinate and oversee physician credentialing and re-credentialing processes. Process credentialing requests accurately and in a timely manner while ensuring regulatory compliance. Maintain knowledge of regulatory standards and assist with updates to bylaws, policies, and procedures. Coordinate medical staff meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and accurate meeting minutes. Support physician peer review, quality improvement initiatives, and regulatory survey preparation. Coordinate orientation for new physicians. Maintain provider schedules (Call, ER, OB, OR, Clinic). Manage provider time-off requests, timesheets, payroll corrections, and contract allowance tracking. Coordinate clinic and ER coverage with outside agencies as needed. Track provider quality measures and access. Support clinical risk management and performance improvement initiatives. Board of Directors Support Schedule monthly Board of Directors meetings and prepare/distribute agendas and supporting materials. Attend Board meetings and accurately record and distribute meeting minutes. Serve as a liaison between Board members and leadership while maintaining strict confidentiality. Additional Duties Maintain healthcare-related contract management systems. Interface with state and national benchmarking organizations. Assist with NHSC Site Recertification.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in a related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of successful employment in a healthcare-related field preferred.
  • Previous medical staff credentialing experience preferred.
  • Ability to obtain Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) certification within two years of hire.
  • Strong Microsoft Office 365 skills and overall computer proficiency.
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
