This is a full-time (40 hours) RN position, primarily days, to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team in an endocrinology practice. The environment is fast-paced.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience in medical nursing
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential
  • Interest in patient education

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with the management of people with diabetes
  • CDE

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for provision of competent direct patient care based on established standards
  • Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level
  • Supports peers in the delivery of patient care services and assumes an expanded role which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities
  • Interfaces with outpatients through office visits and telephone management
