About The Position

Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center is a 24-bed acute care critical access hospital serving the Florida Parishes region of Southeast Louisiana. We offer a wide range of services including general surgery and a 24-hour emergency department. At Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center, we are able to bring you a wide range of services close to home, provided by a network of board-certified physicians. This Medical Specialist position is located within the Outpatient Clinic. The incumbent will be responsible for providing timely, accurate, and quality healthcare, providing wide-ranging patient care through various channels including diagnostic testing, treatment planning, discharge planning, case management, referrals, etc.

Requirements

• Two years of experience or training in patient care or medical records.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort patients for routine examinations to the patient clinic rooms while demonstrating excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Acquires medical histories, vital signs, weight, pulse, blood pressure, respiration, temperature, height, current medication and allergies.
• Assist practitioners to deliver health care services, treatments, examinations, and procedures for patients with specialized needs in the outpatient setting.
• Assist with emergency housekeeping and cleaning duties such as mopping up spills, emptying trash and sterilization of equipment.
• Prepares and cleans room and equipment before and after examinations
