The Medical Secretary performs clerical, reception, and administrative duties in physician practices under the direction of the practice manager, physicians, and RN. This role is responsible for patient check-in and registration, triaging phone calls and electronic messages, insurance verification, and all check-out duties. The Medical Secretary is also responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team and performing duties consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values.
