About The Position

The Maternal-Fetal Medicine department at St. Cloud Hospital is hiring a Medical Secretary to assist with clinic functions. This is a casual, onsite position with variable start times, Monday through Friday as needed.

Requirements

• Graduate of a post high school administrative or health care related program or 2 years of health care related experience required
• Background in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Access required
• One year minimum of general office experience

Nice To Haves

• Medical terminology
• Experience in a medical office or hospital setting
• Background in Epic EMR, billing and coding preferred

Responsibilities

• Utilizing a variety of computer software for word processing, financial management, and maintenance of databases
• Ordering and maintaining inventory forms and supplies for clinic
• Answering incoming phone calls and taking messages from staff, physicians, and the public
• Scheduling appointments and sending out appointment materials and reminders
• Preparing patient charts for appointments including abstracting medical records into Epic
• Managing incoming and outgoing patient referrals to specialty clinics
