About The Position

The Medical Scribe - Skin Care Clinic position at Steeplechase Family Physicians, part of CoxHealth, involves having a basic working knowledge of all medical office functions. The role assumes responsibility and accountability for documenting patient examinations, findings, and treatment plans as relayed by the physician. The scribe actively uses the electronic medical record to capture all relevant patient care information provided in the physician’s outpatient office. This position assists the physician with documentation requirements during patient care but does not actively participate in patient care. The scribe also assists the Supervisor with additional duties as assigned and completes duties pertaining to the functions of this position.

Requirements

Must have medical experience/medical office experience OR have experience with medical terminology.
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Computer skills: word processing and typing.
Solid knowledge of electronic medical record, medical terminology, medical transcription, anatomy and physiology.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to multitask.

Nice To Haves

Associates Degree in an Allied Health Related Field.

Responsibilities
