Requirements

Requires clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
Requires exceptional telephone etiquette and professional interaction with patients, physicians, and staff members.
Requires the ability to be detail oriented.
Proficient typing skills.
Exhibit excellent listening skills.
High School Diploma required.

Nice To Haves

Preferred knowledge of Electronic Medical Records, NextGen knowledge preferred.
Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Preferred 1-2 years current medical scribe experience.

Responsibilities

Document the patient history, including a review of systems, past medical history, family and social histories, medications, and allergies.
Ensure that all documentation is adequately transposed into the patient’s chart and ready for the Physician’s review at all times.
Obtain medical records and prepare the patient’s chart for all new patient consultations, add-ons, and scheduled follow-ups.
Accompany the physician during the whole duration of the patient consultation.
Scanning of all documentation into the patient’s chart, as needed.
Work synergistically with the Medical Assistant’s to ensure optimal patient care.
