About The Position

Medical Scribes are expected to work cooperatively as an integral part of the PrimeCare team, helping their assigned provider to provide quality care to our patients in a time-appropriate manner. The following are responsibilities, requirements, and expectations of a PrimeCare Scribe.

Requirements

  • Able to work evenings and weekends
  • FT: Work a minimum of 30 hours per week, up to 40 or above, depending on clinic needs
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in medical field, with knowledge of regulations and medical office procedures
  • Strong grasp of medical terminology
  • Good penmanship and strong computer skills
  • Well organized and self-disciplined
  • Multitasks well, detail-oriented
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Ability to read and write English according to proper grammar rules
  • Patience, sound judgment, and discretion dealing with confidential information

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of EHR systems

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside an assigned medical provider, entering into patient rooms to aid in charting/documentation during visits
  • Use eCW templates effectively to help ensure accuracy and billing collections
  • Chart appropriately and efficiently in patient’s progress note
  • Verify all notes with assigned medical provider
  • Use appropriate forms and documentation for all procedures and reporting protocols
  • Maintain CPR certification and other licenses as appropriate
  • Thrive while multi-tasking
  • Manage time by taking personal initiative to complete necessary tasks and keep the provider organized and prepared to see patient(s) in each room
  • Anticipate, listen and respond to customer needs in a courteous, tactful manner
  • Follow up and provide feedback in a timely and respectful manner

  • Maintain composure, great attitude, and moral integrity under pressure
