Responsible for greeting donors at the plasma collection center and conducting a series of registration procedures to verify donor suitability for the plasma pheresis process. Assists qualified donors in completing the screening process in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This includes assessing health history, answering medical questions, referring donors to medical staff when appropriate, and performing health screening procedures such as blood pressure, pulse, weight, and temperature. May also perform finger sticks to obtain samples for hematocrit and total protein levels. Upon training, may educate new donors on therapeutic products made from donated plasma, explaining the screening process, health tests, appointment system, donation fees, center policies, and nutrition. Ensures all donor questions are answered accurately and professionally. May be involved in registering applicant and transfer donors, answering telephones, and alerting staff to donor flow issues or reactions. Maintains accurate donor data in the electronic system, follows HSE and OSHA policies, and maintains confidentiality. May be cross-trained in other areas and may require bilingual skills. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
