About The Position

This role supports Medical Affairs on behalf of a client, interfacing with clinical trial sites, collaborating with and engaging opinion leaders to communicate non-promotional scientific and medical information across the client’s portfolio. The opportunity involves driving clinical program execution, fostering connections with the medical community, communicating scientific and clinical information, and collecting insights to inform strategic objectives within a collaborative network supporting an innovative pipeline across multiple therapeutic areas, including inflammation.

Requirements

  • Minimum master’s degree with medical credential (NP, RN, PA) from an accredited institution
  • MSL with pharmaceutical experience and medical credential (RN) may be considered with bachelor’s degree
  • MSL experience required (minimum 2-3 years)
  • Drug pre-approval (pre-PDUFA) MSL experience required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present medical/scientific information clearly
  • Relationship-building and networking skills
  • Excellent organization and results orientation
  • Influence and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and in teams in a dynamic environment
  • Experience with clinical trial design, conduct, and evaluation
  • Permanent residence within assigned region
  • Ability to travel 70% of the time

Nice To Haves

  • Terminal degree (PharmD, PhD) highly preferred
  • IBD/GI or immunology experience strongly preferred
  • Preference will be given to candidates residing near a major airport, ideally in an eastern half of the US or southeast location; residency in Texas or Florida is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary interface with clinical trial sites, collaborating with Clinical Development and Operations to ensure high-quality study execution, specifically clinical trial enrollment.
  • Participate in planning and setup for your region, aligning with local colleagues and CROs.
  • Develop deep expertise in multiple therapeutic areas, including inflammatory bowel disease.
  • Act as the regional subject matter expert and credible scientific leader.
  • Build and maintain relationships with opinion leaders, clinical investigators, and study staff within your region.
  • Provide scientific support to Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, Commercial, and other teams.
  • Support activities such as local, regional, national, and as needed, international, congresses.
  • Share clinical and scientific insights with cross-functional teams.
  • Operate ethically and comply with all laws, regulations, and policies.
