You will be a primary scientific contact between Ferring and the medical community through the dissemination of, and education about, Ferring’s mission, products and disease state, as well as related scientific data and materials. The MSL also serves as an important partner to cross-functional internal stakeholders and liaison to external Health Care Providers (HCPs), capturing and communicating relevant information.

Requirements

  • Graduate level degree eg, PhD, PharmD, MD
  • 3-5 years pharmaceutical, or related experience, with minimum 2 years experience as an MSL
  • Strong aptitude to apply and leverage scientific and medical information to establish scientific credibility and engage in meaningful peer-to-peer discussions
  • Excellent scientific presentation skills
  • Very strong people skills with a positive attitude focused on problem solving
  • Current working knowledge of legal, regulatory, and compliance regulations and guidelines relevant to industry interactions with health-care professionals
  • Self-directed with an ability to work effectively alone and with a cross-functional team
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and accomplish goals within established timelines and budgets
  • Valid driver’s license is required
  • Fluent in English – written and verbal
  • Willingness to travel to meetings including customer meetings and educational congresses; may include overnight trips (Some international travel may be required - Approximately 30- 40% travel anticipated)

  • Background or experience in fertility, human reproduction or clinical embryology a strong asset

Responsibilities

  • Engage healthcare providers pro- and reactively, via various innovative engagements, tactics and formats to provide dissemination of, clarification about, and education on, applicable scientific data, meeting abstracts, and professional literature to enhance product and therapeutic area awareness in alignment and compliance with local regulations.
  • Increase awareness of Ferring and its marketed products enabling HCPs to make informed therapeutic decisions via one-on-one, fair and balanced, scientific exchange.
  • Build strategic relationships externally and contribute to internal understanding of specific HCP and Key External Expert (KEE) interests, expertise and impact in the medical community at large.
  • Develop and execute the HCP territory engagement plan, working to target metrics.
  • Identification of areas for data generation; facilitation of clinical study processes for both Ferring sponsored and investigator-initiated studies.
  • Attend scientific congresses to develop and maintain a high level of scientific and technical expertise in the therapeutic area; gather and disseminate competitor activity in therapeutic areas relevant to Ferring’s interests and strategy.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of Regional and/or National Advisory Board and educational/scientific meetings including presentation development and leading interactive discussions.
  • Execute the medical strategy built in alignment with cross functional team.
  • Attain a deep understanding, and ability to educate on, training simulators to enhance clinical experience and understanding amongst HCPs.
  • Complete necessary documentation/reports to time requirements (eg, complaints and adverse reaction reports (ADRs), contract execution, CRM reports, expenses, etc) and in alignment with GCP, corporate SOPs and policies, and regulatory requirements.
