Sr. Medical Science Liaison - Midwest
About The Position
Neurocrine Biosciences is a leading biopharmaceutical company dedicated to discovering, developing, and commercializing life-changing treatments for patients with neurological, psychiatric, endocrine, and immunological disorders. This role involves interacting with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare decision makers to communicate and advance the scientific platform for therapeutic areas aligned with the company's strategy. The position supports company-sponsored and investigator-initiated research, delivers clinical and pharmaco-economic presentations to payers, trains faculty for the speaker’s bureau, supports scientific congresses, and serves as a resource for medical and scientific inquiries. The territory covers Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Minnesota. The ideal candidate will have psych/neuro experience and reside within the territory, preferably near Kansas City and a major airport.
Requirements
- PharmD or PhD in a health science field AND 4+ years of previous work experience in an equivalent field-based position is required, with 2+ years experience in the CNS therapeutic area preferred OR MD/DO Degree AND 2+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities
- Establish peer-to-peer and science-based relationships with KOLs and healthcare decision makers.
- Deliver fair, balanced, and credible medical and scientific presentations.
- Support company-sponsored and investigator-initiated research.
- Participate in conferences and meetings as a scientific expert on the Company’s behalf.
- Train faculty on scientific content for the company’s speaker’s bureau.
- Serve as a scientific resource for KOLs and internal personnel.
- Obtain the insights of KOLs to help strategically guide the educational efforts of the organization in relevant therapeutic areas.
- Compile and interpret available data (i.e. congress presentations, KOL interactions, posters) to provide clinical insights for the emerging therapeutic landscape.
- Perform all responsibilities with the highest ethical standards, including FDA guidelines, healthcare compliance requirements/SOPs, and best practices for the pharmaceutical industry.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Guide and mentor less experienced colleagues to provide an example of innovation and excellence.
