About The Position

Uniphar BESTMSLs is partnering with an innovative, growth-stage biopharmaceutical company to find a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for their expanding Field Medical team, covering the Southwest territory. This role is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of science, education, and clinical practice, contributing to the future of care in ophthalmology. The MSL will be part of a highly collaborative Medical Affairs organization, where their scientific expertise and field insights will directly influence strategy. This role offers significant visibility, strong cross-functional collaboration, and the chance to engage leading ophthalmologists and optometrists across a large territory.

Requirements

  • OD, MD, PharmD, or PhD required.
  • Prior MSL experience required.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to translate complex scientific information into meaningful discussions.
  • Strong strategic thinking and insight-gathering capabilities.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and comfortable working independently in a field-based role.

Nice To Haves

  • Ophthalmology or eye care expertise preferred.
  • Candidates with significant clinical eye care experience and industry exposure will also be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted scientific partner to key opinion leaders, academic institutions, and healthcare professionals throughout the region.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with ophthalmology and optometry KOLs.
  • Lead compliant scientific exchange and disease state education.
  • Deliver clinical and scientific presentations to healthcare providers and stakeholders.
  • Gather actionable field insights and communicate them to internal teams.
  • Support medical education initiatives, advisory boards, publications, and investigator-initiated research.
  • Participate in regional and national scientific congresses and professional society meetings.
  • Collaborate closely with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Commercial, and Market Access teams.
  • Support clinical trial activities and broader medical strategy initiatives.
