About The Position

UCB is seeking a clinically experienced, science-driven, and patient-focused Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join the Epilepsy & Rare Syndromes team, covering the Gulf Coast geography. The ideal candidate will be based in a major hub city within Memphis, TN, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, or Alabama to ensure optimal coverage and engagement. The MSL will engage with key scientific and medical influencers to advance understanding of UCB’s Epilepsy and Rare Syndromes portfolio, fostering collaborative, science-driven partnerships to support optimized patient care. This role involves providing scientific exchange, contributing insights to medical strategies, and driving patient-focused initiatives within the local health ecosystem.

Requirements

  • Doctorate (PhD, PharmD, MD, DPM, or DO) with a minimum of 3 years’ experience as an MSL OR NP/PA with a minimum of 3 years’ experience as an MSL or minimum of 3 years of direct clinical experience in relevant therapeutic area or 5 years in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Must reside within the assigned territory.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to travel 60-80% in the designated territory.

Responsibilities

  • Stay current with research and clinical data related to epilepsy and rare syndromes.
  • Execute targeted stakeholder engagement strategies to identify local needs and opportunities.
  • Provide meaningful medical insights to support medical strategies and initiatives.
  • Represent UCB at scientific conferences and educational events.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance patient care and contribute to medical projects as needed.
  • May lead/support other Medical Affairs projects or activities as assigned.
