About The Position

Reporting to the Manager, Medical Affairs, the Medical Science Liaison (MSL) serves as a field-based scientific expert for the therapeutic areas of immunology and psychiatry. Working closely with internal partners, he or she contributes to the development and execution of the medical strategy by building lasting relationships with thought leaders, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders in the healthcare system. The incumbent develops and maintains credible, science-based relationships and helps generate strategic insights to guide the company’s medical priorities and initiatives. All activities are conducted in accordance with applicable ethical and regulatory standards and internal policies.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
  • Excellent understanding of clinical data, scientific literature, and research methodology.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret, synthesize, and communicate complex scientific information to healthcare professionals.
  • Must have a driver’s license and be able to travel nationwide.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is required to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all of our partners located across Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct balanced, accurate, and non-promotional scientific discussions with healthcare professionals to provide medical information regarding the products and therapeutic areas under their responsibility.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of clinical data, treatment guidelines, the competitive landscape, and the practice environment in the fields of immunology and psychiatry.
  • Identify scientific needs in the field and collaborate with internal teams to develop medical content.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), researchers, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Gather scientific and clinical insights from healthcare professionals to guide the company’s strategies and priorities.
  • Attend conferences, symposia, and scientific meetings to ensure coverage and dissemination of key learnings.
