This role is responsible for assisting patients at the front desk, managing patient records, updating insurance information, collecting co-pays, scheduling follow-up appointments and referrals, and communicating with various parties. The Medical Scheduler will also handle patient registration and scheduling for complex patients, prepare disability and out-of-work paperwork, discuss financial obligations, and explain regulatory forms. The position requires the ability to work in multiple systems, understand practice and hospital strategic plans, and exemplify guiding principles for an optimal patient experience and safety.
