This role involves interacting with a diverse patient population, maintaining patient records using an electronic medical record system, updating insurance information, collecting co-pays, and scheduling follow-up appointments and referrals. The scheduler must communicate professionally with providers, patients, clinical care teams, and insurance companies, and answer incoming phone calls. They are also responsible for preparing patient disability and out-of-work/school paperwork, discussing financial obligations, explaining regulatory forms, and ensuring an optimal patient experience while prioritizing patient and employee safety.
