About The Position

The Medical Scheduler is responsible for direct patient registration, patient insurance, billing, and collections to ensure accurate patient billing and efficient account collection. This role requires a broad knowledge of front office practices and procedures, including the Company’s Electronic Medical Records system (EMR), and a broad understanding of insurance practices and procedures. The Medical Scheduler will also assist with billing-related issues, ensure compliance with regulations and standards of performance for quality care, answer telephones, assist with patient check-in/check-out, and direct patient requests or questions to the appropriate provider. Additionally, the role involves scheduling appointments, providing assistance to other office staff as needed, maintaining excellent customer service skills, and ensuring patient confidentiality. This is a contract-to-hire position.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a fast paced medical environment.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to schedule appointments.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good work ethic.
  • Proficiency working with computers.
  • Two (2) years of experience working in a Healthcare setting.
  • Call Center Experience highly preferred.
  • Open to people from service industry but need to be stellar!

  • Epic experience preferred.
