About The Position

Prescott’s, Inc. is a leading medical device services company specializing in the distribution and refurbishment of essential medical equipment. This entry-level position will support Heartland Medical and Vetland Medical, subsidiaries of Prescott's, Inc. The role involves providing on-site technical assistance, maintenance, and repairs for anesthesia machines, as well as cold calling, prospecting, and selling capital equipment. It is ideal for individuals passionate about sales and service within the medical technology field, covering Louisville, Lexington, and surrounding areas in Kentucky. The technician will call upon surgery centers, hospital operating rooms, and physicians’ offices.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 1-3 years of experience required (training will be provided).
  • Comfortable with manual and hand tools.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and effectively.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
  • Basic computer skills, familiar with diagnostic and maintenance software.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry equipment up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair anesthesia machines at customer sites.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance based on manufacturer guidelines.
  • Utilize manual hand and power tools for repairs.
  • Respond to multiple service calls per day/week.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Generate new sales opportunities to grow presence within the territory.
  • Set up meetings and presentations with decision makers to increase sales and service.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, understanding their equipment needs.
  • Service all anesthesia machines within the territory to ensure they are running up to OEM specifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of services performed, including equipment maintenance logs and service reports.
  • Work closely with internal teams to provide feedback on product performance.
  • Drive to service calls, sales meetings, and cold calls.
  • Supervise the use of equipment during sales and ensure physician satisfaction.
