About The Position

National Institute of Clinical Research, a research organization serving the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, is searching for a highly experienced Medical assistant with Phlebotomy experience to assist our research coordinators in clinical trials. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Research Study Coordinator in recruiting subjects for assigned clinical trials and coordinating the research activities and visits for the subjects enrolled in research projects. The research assistant will also be responsible for assisting the study coordinator in reviewing and requesting medical records.

Requirements

Experience with PC software applications including word processing.
Ability and willingness to learn new software programs.
Medical assistant / Phlebotomist with at least two to three years of clinical experience (certification preferred) or a laboratory technician with at least two to three years of clinical experience.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly preferred and considered a strong asset for this role.

Responsibilities

Assisting the Research Study Coordinator in recruiting subjects for assigned clinical trials.
Coordinating the research activities and visits for the subjects enrolled in research projects.
Scheduling research visits for subjects enrolled in clinical trials.
Performance of EKG, routine phlebotomy, and other lab assessments such as vital signs.
Obtaining necessary lab results for the subjects.
Assisting the study coordinator in reviewing and requesting medical records.
