This role is responsible for processing and quality assurance of dismissal charts according to established Health Information Management (HIM) policies and procedures. The position involves generating deficiency reports, monitoring physician chart rooms, managing electronic deficiencies, and routing paper records. It also includes managing outsourced dictation/transcription workflow, assisting with Release of Information (ROI) requests, and serving as a receptionist. The individual will complete their own work accurately, train and supervise temporary help, and assist with various functions within the HIM Department, ensuring all areas remain current. Maintaining patient record confidentiality and performing other assigned duties are also key aspects of this role.
