Requirements

Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Knowledge of HIPAA and medical documentation standards
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Two years’ experience as a Medical Records Clerk or with record keeping responsibility in a health care setting.

Nice To Haves

Experience in healthcare, medical records, or activity coordination preferred
Creative, compassionate, and energetic personality
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, or similar degree, preferred.
Six months experience in a long term care environment preferred.
PCC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date resident medical records
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
Coordinate documentation with nursing, therapy, and administrative teams
Manage admissions, discharges, and record requests efficiently
Audit records for completeness and accuracy
Plan and lead engaging recreational and social activities
Create programs that support residents’ physical, emotional, and social well-being
Organize holiday events, games, outings, and wellness activities
Encourage resident participation and build positive relationships
Work closely with families and staff to enhance quality of life
