Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • 2+ years of experience managing medical records in a pre-litigation department
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with ChartSwap, Needles, or similar legal/medical records software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in a fast-paced professional environment
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Adept at planning, prioritizing, and multitasking to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated initiative in managing tasks and projects

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing medical and billing record affidavits for completion and identifying deficiencies
  • Compiling lists of medical and billing records, providers, and missing records
  • Pursuing collection of all submitted medical and billing records for each client
  • Notating file management system with comments on pending items and action items for workflow accuracy
  • Collaborating with Pre-Litigation Paralegals and medical records providers, using independent discretion to obtain necessary documents
  • Managing medical liens
  • Utilizing software such as ChartSwap, Needles, and other legal/medical records platforms
