The role of the Medical Records Clerk is to ensure the completeness, accuracy, and privacy of all client’s medical records. This position involves record control, client registration, insurance verification, release of information, HIPPA regulations, customer service, and processing legal documents and Electronic Medical Records (EMR). The Medical Records Clerk is responsible for routing and maintaining all medical information. This role will complete the registration function supporting Community Access to Recovery Services (CARS), Community Reintegration Center (CRC), Comprehensive Community Services (CCS), Comprehensive Community Mental Health Services (CCMHS), Matt Talbot Recovery Services, and any future providers in need of the function. The Medical Records Clerk will complete all fiscal insurance and consent information, entering the data into the Behavioral Health Services Electronic Medical Records system (Avatar). All staff are required to work holidays and weekends on a rotation schedule. Staff may be subject to mandating.
