About The Position
Columbus Arthritis Center, one of Ohio's largest rheumatology practices, is seeking a full-time Medical Records Clerk. Requirements

- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion (HIPAA compliance)
Nice To Haves
- Experience with NextGen Healthcare EHR or another EHR system
- Medical records or healthcare office experience
Responsibilities
- Manage and organize patient records within our electronic health record system (EHR)
- Scan, upload, and file documents accurately and efficiently
- Process medical records requests from patients, providers, attorneys, and insurance companies
- Track requests, payments, and required documentation (PHI logs, spreadsheets, etc.)
- Respond to voicemails, calls, and internal requests promptly
- Fax and distribute records as requested by providers
- Retrieve and organize charts from off-site storage
- Support clinical staff by locating records quickly and accurately
- Maintain daily filing workflows (all work completed before the end of the day)
