Monterey teams with general practice, specialists, and allied health practitioners nationwide to provide local coverage for examinees. We deliver a wide range of medical examination-only services to public sectors and the individuals they serve. Our clients include the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), the Department of Labor, the Department of Defense, and more. Our provider network consists of over 700 providers in various medical specialties and degree types. They conduct diagnostic-only examination services on an as-needed basis. These services may take place in their private office, established clinics located across the country, or during travel opportunities for group screening events. This role combines front desk coordination with basic clinical support duties in a fast-paced medical exam environment. The Medical Receptionist plays a key role in maintaining smooth daily operations and delivering excellent service to patients, providers, and partners.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and web-based systems

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a medical office or healthcare setting
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems
  • Ability to manage a high-volume front desk environment
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Managing front office operations, including answering phones, scheduling and confirming appointments, and performing accurate data entry
  • Greeting patients, providing necessary paperwork, and assisting with completion as needed
  • Maintaining organized and accurate patient documentation and records
  • Preparing daily schedules for appointments and providers
  • Scanning and securely transmitting documents to internal teams
  • Coordinating with providers and business partners to support timely and accurate reporting
  • Assisting providers during examinations when requested
  • Measuring and recording basic vital signs as required
  • Delivering high-quality customer service in all interactions
  • Maintaining a safe, professional, and compliant work environment
  • Performing additional administrative or clinical support duties as assigned
