About The Position

Neurosurgical Associates P.C. is looking for a friendly and organized Medical Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our practice in Henrico, VA 23233. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated medical team where your attention to detail and patient-first attitude will make a real difference every day. It is a full time position working Monday through Friday with work hours of 8:30 a.m., to 5:00 p.m. with a 30 minute lunch break taken daily.

Requirements

Prior experience (1 to 2 years) as a medical receptionist or in a healthcare front office setting preferred
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and medical scheduling software
Knowledge of medical insurance verification and billing procedures
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced clinical environment
High school diploma
Professional, reliable, and detail-oriented work ethic

Responsibilities

Greet and check in patients in a professional and compassionate manner
Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using medical scheduling software
Answer and route incoming phone calls, taking messages and responding to inquiries
Verify patient insurance eligibility and collect co-pays at time of service
Maintain and update accurate patient records.
Coordinate referrals and communicate with other healthcare providers as needed
Ensure the front desk and waiting area remain organized and welcoming
