About The Position

Scotch Institute of ENT, a division of ENT and Allergy Associates of Florida, is currently seeking a Medical Receptionist for a part-time position. The main office is located in Wesley Chapel (Seven Oaks area), which is where this position will be primarily. Travel to the second location in Trinity (New Port Richey) would be required on an as-needed basis. The practice focuses on ENT (adult and pediatric), Hearing, Allergies, and Sleep Medicine, with a team of 4 physicians, a nurse practitioner, and 2 physician assistants. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Medical Receptionist who is able to multitask, motivated, and handle a high volume of patients, phone calls, and charts. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, have experience with EMR, medical records, check-in, and check-out, and be willing to learn all aspects of the ENT and Audiology field.

Requirements

• Minimum 1-year previous experience in a medical practice preferred but willing to train the right candidate.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a clear speaking voice.
• The ability to prioritize and handle a high volume of patients.
• The ability to work in a team environment.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong computer literacy.
• Bi-lingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Providing superior customer service to all patients and guests
• Answer multi-line phones
• Greet patients upon arrival, sign them in and obtain insurance information and any other necessary data
• Provide patients with intake and new patient forms as well as copies of our office policies and legally required documents.
• Process payments from patients for co-pays and uninsured visits.
• Insurance Verification
• Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients based on Physician and PA/NP availability
• Provide patients with support and guidance as needed
