About The Position

The Medical Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors in a healthcare setting, playing a crucial role in creating a welcoming and efficient environment. Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in patients upon arrival, verifying personal and insurance information accurately.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Answer incoming phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate medical staff.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations in handling sensitive information.
  • Process patient paperwork, including intake forms, consent forms, and billing information.
  • Coordinate with medical staff to ensure timely patient flow and communicate any delays or changes.
  • Manage front desk operations, including maintaining a clean and organized reception area.
  • Assist with billing and insurance verification as needed, collaborating with the billing department.
