About The Position

Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery is seeking candidates with exceptional customer service and clinical skills to join their team as a Medical Receptionist. They aim to create a career destination that feels like family and work with a team of professionals for a well-known, highly regarded dermatology practice that prioritizes patient care. The role involves facilitating patient entry, greeting patients professionally, distributing and collecting necessary forms, and copying insurance and identification cards. This position will also support front office business administrators and the Office Manager with various operational tasks, including pulling and filing patient records, frequent telephone communication with patients for outreach and scheduling, new patient chart setup, and other duties as assigned. Additional responsibilities may include screening patients and employees, checking patients in and out, rooming patients while adhering to social distancing, wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and sanitizing work areas.

Requirements

  • High School level education
  • Type 40 wpm
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel are required
  • Personable, dependable, and responsible
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive attitude
  • Impeccable customer service skills
  • Authorization to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Facilitating the efficient and timely entry of the patient to the office setting
  • Greeting all patients in a professional manner
  • Handing out appropriate literature and information & forms to be filled out by patient; checking for accuracy and completion
  • Copying insurance ID cards and driver's licenses
  • Supporting the front office business administrators, and the Office Manager, in various operations areas and tasks
  • Pulling and filing patient records
  • Frequent telephone communication with patients including outreach and scheduling support
  • New patient chart set-up
  • Screening patients and employees daily upon entry
  • Checking patients In and Out
  • Rooming patients and keeping social distancing guidelines
  • Wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Sanitizing and cleaning respective areas as needed
