About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our patients, embodying our patient-first approach. This role is crucial for protecting our revenue and ensuring a positive patient financial experience, specifically requiring expertise in insurance verification and billing resolution while maintaining high patient satisfaction.

Requirements

• Experience with insurance verification and medical billing (non-negotiable).
• Ability to explain complex insurance concepts to patients with empathy and clarity.
• Obsessive attention to detail.
• Experience as a Medical Receptionist, Administrative Assistant, or in Customer Service in a medical office setting.
• Tech-savvy with medical billing software and EMR systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Positive attitude when dealing with challenging financial conversations.
• Active BLS certification required or must be obtained within the defined onboarding period.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma preferred.
• X-Ray Tech, Medical Assistant or related certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Meticulously verify insurance coverage before services are provided to prevent claim denials and maximize revenue.
• Confidently explain costs, billing processes, and insurance complexities to patients.
• Proactively identify and resolve insurance discrepancies and billing issues.
• Deliver exceptional service during financial conversations, ensuring patient satisfaction while handling payment matters.
• Greet patients with warmth and professionalism.
• Process payments, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-ins efficiently.
• Maintain organized records and strictly follow HIPAA regulations.
