Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent required
1-3 years of customer service experience, preferably in a clinical setting. 0-1 year required.
Displays courteous telephone interactions and interview activities with patients.

Responsibilities

Provides excellent customer service to internal/external customers.
Provides basic information to patients.
Has ability to field patient questions and direct accordingly.
Accurately collects/verifies Demographics/Financial information.
Triages Telephone calls.
Arranges Escort Services.
Collects Co-pays.
Collects payment at time of service from Self-Pay patients and directs them to Financial Counselor.
Ensures completeness of Paper/System forms.
Requests Medical Records.
Follows HIPAA Guidelines for the management of patient privacy and confidentiality.
Maintains Physical Environment.
Has ability to cross cover within the office.
Assists with orienting new staff in their own practice settings.
Participates in practice meetings; may be directed to keep minutes in offices where there are not Lead Receptionists.
Carries out special projects as directed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Compiles with all policies and standards.
