Requirements
- Previous medical reception or healthcare office experience preferred
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a busy clinical environment
- Comfortable working with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and standard computer applications
- Positive attitude, dependable work ethic, and willingness to work as part of a team
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and visitors with professionalism and compassion
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with scheduling and general questions
- Schedule appointments and coordinate provider calendars
- Verify insurance information and collect co-pays
- Check patients in and out efficiently while maintaining accurate records
- Communicate appointment reminders and pre-procedure instructions
- Maintain an organized, professional front office environment
- Protect patient privacy by following HIPAA guidelines
- Work closely with providers and clinical staff to keep the day running smoothly
