The Medical Receptionist serves as an important point of contact for our Home & Community Services patients, families, clinicians, and community partners. This position supports the day-to-day operations of our office and helps ensure calls, and other administrative needs are handled accurately, efficiently, and with a high level of customer service. While our office is not a patient-facing location, we are very much patient-focused. Every member of our team plays an important role in supporting the patients and families we serve. The work completed in our office directly impacts the ability of our nurses, clinicians, and care teams to provide timely, compassionate, and high-quality care in the community. A primary responsibility of this role will be answering and managing approximately 150 incoming calls per week related to our Home & Community Services programs (which include Hospice, Home Care, Home Based Medicine, and Palliative Care). The Medical Receptionist will work closely with other Medical Receptionists, the Administrative Assistant and other members of the team to ensure calls and requests are appropriately addressed and routed to the correct individual or department using established workflows within the department. In addition to phone coverage, this position can support a variety of office and operational responsibilities, including but not limited to supply management, Medical Records support, and other administrative duties as needed.
