About The Position

CenterWell Senior Primary Care is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join their caring community. The role focuses on supporting seniors in the community and fostering a positive and welcoming environment for all associates. This position is patient-facing and is part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected, you will be required to be screened for TB.

Requirements

Active Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma
Experience in a fast pace/high volume environment
Experience with MS Outlook
Basic Computer knowledge
CPR certification
Previous Phlebotomy Experience
Willingness to learn and be cross trained in other roles based on business need
Patient facing role
Must be screened for TB

Nice To Haves

Value-based care model experience
Knowledge of Medical Terminology
Experience with EMR Systems (Electronic Medical Records)
Bilingual in English and Spanish

Responsibilities

Discussing symptoms with patients
Gathering and inputting information into the electronic medical records system
Taking vital signs
Giving injections
Performing diagnostic tests
Collecting specimens
Drawing blood
Sterilizing and cleaning equipment
Maintaining examination rooms
Collaborates closely with physicians and nurses
Delivers direct patient care dependent on what active certification allows
Responsible for decisions focusing on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments
Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing, while working under minimal direction
Follows standard policies/practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation and/or independent discretion
