Serious Medicine is what we do. Being extraordinary is who we are. Every colleague plays a key key role in upholding this promise to our patients and their families. This is an in-person role, not a remote position, requiring face-to-face patient and public contact. Cross-training and floating to other desks are required. The Medical Receptionist serves as the first impression of the organization, requiring strong customer service skills. Responsibilities include escorting and wayfinding for patients, obtaining patient demographic and insurance information, entering data into the electronic health record (EHR), pre-registering patients over the phone, collecting point-of-service payments, and obtaining required regulatory forms. The role also involves checking in clinic and outpatient appointments and working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while meeting productivity and quality metrics.
