About The Position

FreedomDocs is seeking a Receptionist to join their team in a medical office. The role involves acting as a host for a premier Direct Primary Care in central Indiana, ensuring a positive patient experience, and managing various administrative tasks. Key responsibilities include greeting patients, providing information about services, managing appointments and calendars, handling patient information (demographic, insurance, credit cards, FAA documents), processing payments, maintaining patient medical records, and collaborating with the healthcare team. The position also involves providing ideas for improving brand experience and offering positive customer service over the phone. Freedom Healthworks, the parent company, assists physicians in starting, growing, and operating their practices, aiming to help them care for patients without restrictions, barriers, and frustrations.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Professional and friendly demeanor when interacting with patients and healthcare professionals
  • Ability to manage and multitask
  • Great attention to detail
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR)
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology, processes, and office procedures

Responsibilities

  • Acting as Host to a premier Direct Primary Care in central Indiana
  • Greeting patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner ensuring they have a positive experience
  • Providing ideas and recommendations on improving brand experience
  • Obtain, verify, and enter all required information from patients including demographic, insurance, credit cards, FAA documents and class
  • Providing information about the facility's services, policies, and procedures
  • Scan and index incoming documents to the patient's Elation chart or company filing system
  • Provide positive and courteous customer service over the phone, while maintaining a professional presence at all time
  • Filling where needed to assure excellent member experience
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Managing the appointment and Google "out of office" calendar
  • Answer telephone/retrieving messages from Spruce promptly and professionally
  • Maintain the waiting area, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere for new and returning patients
  • Schedule office appointments in computer system
  • Collect copayments and process all incoming payments
  • Organizing and maintaining patient medical records
  • Collaborating with other members of the healthcare team, including nurses, physicians and other administration staff
  • Notifying appropriate internal personnel in case of emergencies or urgent situations
  • Coordinate physician communications with members, other providers, or outside constituents as directed by in-house doctors or Clinical Office Manager
