About The Position

Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Medical Receptionist to join their Primary Care Frontline team. This role is a Partner for Good, helping to make an impact on the care and experience that patients and their families receive. The position involves supporting both a Call Center and Front Desk environment. In the Call Center, the primary responsibility is to rapidly and accurately answer and respond to incoming telephone calls from patients and/or employer groups, meeting department-specific agent expectations and following defined guidelines. In the Front Desk area, the primary responsibility is to greet patients, collect co-pays, schedule follow-up appointments and referrals, and support departmental clerical duties. Both areas will provide support to the department/site, ensuring quality service through timely and courteous assistance, and maintaining patient confidentiality. Employees will provide excellent customer service, complete work in a timely and professional manner, support process improvement and organizational changes, identify themselves and the department in all phone interactions, accept additional related tasks, and maintain a clean work area. The department is a group of healthcare workers passionate about helping patients and their families improve their health, seeing approximately 150 adult patients a day with a team of 18 clinicians. Clinicians partner with front desk team members to care for patients, leading to excellent patient experience results and high-quality patient measures. The campus includes free parking and is near Wolfe Park for breaks. The team is described as friendly, engaged, and fun. The primary care department offers a wide range of services including yearly physicals, Medicare wellness visits, pre-ops, general office visits, video and phone visits, in-clinic procedures, nurse visits, and vaccine clinics.

Requirements

  • 6 months related experience
  • Accurate computer/keyboarding skills required.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
  • Must be proficient in the operation of the following types of equipment: telephone and headsets, PC, printer, photo copier and fax machine.
